Why is there a watermark, and how do I remove it?

Higgsfield's help centre (3 August 2026) says the visible Higgsfield watermark depends only on the account: every free-account generation carries it, no paid-plan generation does (credit, free or Unlimited); to remove it, subscribe to a paid plan and regenerate, since earlier files keep it and removal is not sold separately.

What is said
★ — how much it matters to the source.
- ★★★ Higgsfield paid plans add no visible watermark to generations, whether credit-based, a plan's free generations or Unlimited models. · Higgsfield Unlimited
- ★★★ The Higgsfield watermark depends only on the account type, not on the model, credits or output quality: every free-account generation carries it, paid-plan generations do not, and there is no watermark setting.
- ★★ Higgsfield may embed invisible, machine-readable markers in AI-generated content, separate from the visible watermark; they are not visible in the file and are not removed by upgrading. (hedged)
- ★★★ To remove the Higgsfield watermark, subscribe to any paid plan: new generations come without it, but generations already made on the free account keep it and must be regenerated for a clean version.
- ★★ Higgsfield Unlimited access comes only with a paid plan, so Unlimited generations never carry a watermark. · Higgsfield Unlimited
- ★★ Higgsfield does not sell watermark removal separately.
- ★★ The Higgsfield watermark is embedded at generation time, so existing files do not change; generations made after a paid period ends follow the free account rules.
