Why was my content flagged as NSFW, and what can I do if it was wrong?

2026-08-01 · help-centre article · Higgsfield · original

Topic: Failure modes & fixes (also: Cost, credits & plans) · mode: Reference

Higgsfield's help article explains why a generation gets flagged as NSFW: Higgsfield filters prompts and images, and outside providers such as Kling, Veo or Sora 2 run their own checks on top, so either can block safe work by mistake. To fix a false flag, it advises rewording the prompt in neutral, specific terms or swapping a borderline reference image. For most models the credits come back automatically, but Higgsfield cannot overturn the filter's decision by hand.

  • ★★★ Higgsfield filters prompts and uploaded or reference images; external providers (Nano Banana, Seedream, Kling, Sora 2, MiniMax, Wan, Veo) run their own safety systems on top, and either can give false positives. · Nano Banana, Seedream, Kling, Sora 2, MiniMax, Wan, Veo
  • ★★ Higgsfield has no access to external providers' internal moderation rules, so the exact reason a generation was flagged is not always visible.
  • ★★ Common false NSFW triggers on Higgsfield: swimwear or revealing clothing, athletic or fitness content, medical or anatomical imagery, reference images with borderline composition, and ambiguous prompt wording.
  • ★★★ To fix a wrongly NSFW-flagged generation, Higgsfield advises rephrasing the prompt: remove or replace words that could read as sensitive and keep descriptions neutral and specific.
  • ★★★ A borderline reference image can trip Higgsfield's upload-stage NSFW filter even with a safe prompt; Higgsfield advises adjusting or removing it, or trying an image with clearer composition.
  • ★★ When an image input without a text prompt is falsely flagged as NSFW, Higgsfield advises adding a descriptive prompt alongside it, which often reduces false flags.
  • ★★ Against a false NSFW flag, Higgsfield advises trying a different model: each provider runs its own safety system, and a prompt one misreads may pass on another.
  • ★★★ For most models on Higgsfield, credits for generations that fail on an NSFW flag are returned automatically. · credit
  • ★★ To check a refund for an NSFW-flagged generation, look in Manage Account → Usage; if it is missing, send Support the approximate time, the model and the prompt, since flagged generations have no Assets page. · credit · also in: Why was my generation blocked for copyright or IP?
  • ★★★ Higgsfield cannot override safety classifiers manually: credits can be returned for confirmed false positives, but the classifier's decision itself cannot be reversed. · credit
  • ★★ Safety systems on Higgsfield can trigger on combinations of image and text, not only on individual words.
  • ★★ Higgsfield Support can help rephrase prompts to reduce false NSFW flags, but bypassing or circumventing moderation is prohibited under Higgsfield's Terms of Use.
