In this tutorial of 29 June 2026, Adil adds VFX to his own real footage with Seedance 2.0 in 4K, saying effects that once took hours now come from a raw clip and one sentence. A free Claude skill reads the clip, locks what must stay as shot (face, gestures, the camera move) and writes the prompt for the one change wanted. He works through three levels: swapping the whole world, changing one element using a GPT Image 2 reference, and handheld shots, which work best when filmed already knowing the result.
What is said
The parts of the video and what is said in each (★ — how much it matters to the video).
00:00:00 — Real footage against Seedance 2.0 4K results; who Adil is and why clean effects no longer take hours
- ★ Adil introduces himself as neither a filmmaker nor a VFX specialist: he shoots real things and sees how far AI tools can push them. — 00:00:38 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: The one move: video-to-video
- ★★ Adil says every effect shown was made in minutes with Seedance 2.0 in 4K on Higgsfield mixed with real footage, with no prior VFX experience, hours of editing, compositing or render times. — 00:00:38 · Seedance 2.0, Higgsfield AI · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: The one move: video-to-video
- ★★★ Adil says getting effects this clean used to mean hours of work, but Seedance 2.0 in 4K changed that: from a raw clip and one sentence it gives output clean enough for real work. — 00:01:06 · Seedance 2.0 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: The one move: video-to-video
00:01:28 — The three levels of AI VFX and the free skill
- ★★ Adil teaches AI VFX over real footage in three levels: swapping the world around you, transforming specific elements inside the frame, and the full cinematic showcase. — 00:01:35
- ★★ The Claude skill Adil uses for every VFX prompt is free in the video's description. — 00:01:35 · Claude · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: The one move: video-to-video
00:01:59 — Level 1, walking: Claude reads the clip, the skill locks what stays and writes the desert-swap prompt
- ★★ Step one of the VFX workflow: drop the clip into Claude, which reads it as a set of frames and so understands what is in the shot (the person, the walk, the light). — 00:02:02 · Claude · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: Swap the world: the walking location swap
- ★★★ Step two: turn on the skill and tell Claude the one change wanted, such as swapping the background to a desert at sunset right when he snaps his fingers; the skill writes the full prompt. — 00:02:30 · Claude · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: Swap the world: the walking location swap
- ★★★ Adil says what makes VFX over footage work is that the skill writes down everything that must stay exactly as shot (face, walk, rings, every gesture, the exact handheld camera move) and locks it. — 00:02:30 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: Swap the world: the walking location swap
- ★★ The skill's prompt also gives the exact seconds at which to change the background, so Seedance 2.0 swaps only the world behind Adil and everything else stays protected. — 00:02:58 · Seedance 2.0 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: Swap the world: the walking location swap
- ★★ Adil says the old way (green screen, masking every frame, a cutout on a new background) never matched and the light was always off, while Seedance 2.0 relights him into any environment in minutes. — 00:02:58 · Seedance 2.0 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: Swap the world: the walking location swap
00:03:37 — Level 1, driving: neon city, lava and above the clouds with a fast-moving camera
- ★★ On a fast-moving camera, such as a shot talking to the camera while driving, Adil says the new environment cannot just sit behind him: it has to move with him at the right speed and change the lighting as it goes. — 00:03:37 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: World swap while driving
- ★★ For the driving shot the keep list grows beyond the face to the car, the seatbelt, the rig framing and the whole driving motion, and Seedance 2.0 should replace only the environment. — 00:04:00 · Seedance 2.0 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: World swap while driving
- ★★ In the driving shots (neon city, lava) Seedance 2.0 took the light from the generated environment and cast it onto Adil, with no grading by him. — 00:04:00 · Seedance 2.0
00:04:28 — Level 2: head on fire, a hand morph, lizards climbing a building from a GPT Image 2.0 reference
- ★★ For Level 2 Adil drops the clip into the Claude chat and writes "set my whole head of curls on fire"; the prompt locks his face, expression, the car and the golden-hour light and only adds the fire. — 00:04:28 · Claude · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: Set your head on fire
- ★★ Adil says setting a head on fire normally takes days of work and a dedicated VFX artist (3D flames, frame-by-frame masks, painted light), but here took one prompt and about two minutes. — 00:05:05
- ★ With no frame masked, Seedance 2.0 spilled the fire's orange glow onto Adil's shirt and reflected it on the car, matched to the sunset. — 00:05:05 · Seedance 2.0 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: Set your head on fire
- ★★ For a hand morph Adil asks for his right hand to turn into something unexpected on a spoken line with a smooth transition; the prompt locks his face, voice, performance and camera and touches only his right arm. — 00:05:42 · Seedance 2.0 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: Hand into a snake: change one thing
- ★★★ To add a specific creature (lizards climbing a building), Adil gives the AI a lizard made in GPT Image 2 as input: when you know exactly what you want, it is better to show the AI than to describe it. — 00:06:07 · GPT Image 2 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: Add a creature with a reference image
- ★ For the lizard shot Adil attached the clip and the lizard reference and asked for a reveal: tight on the lizards climbing, then a zoom out to show him fully with the right lip sync. — 00:06:43 · lip sync · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: Add a creature with a reference image
- ★★ Adil calls handheld shots the hardest level: on locked-off or steady shots the AI just paints the effects in, but handheld the angle, parallax and shake all move and the effect has to track them. — 00:07:09 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: The handheld showcase: wing-walker
00:07:26 — Level 3, handheld: wing walker on a biplane, jungle temple, dinosaurs in the rain, a kraken attacking a ship
- ★★★ Adil's trick for VFX over handheld footage: shoot each clip already knowing what you want to see in it, then one simple prompt rebuilds the world around you. — 00:07:51 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: The handheld showcase: wing-walker
- ★★ In the wing-walker shot Seedance 2.0 added a breeze blowing through Adil's hair that his original shot did not have, which he takes as Seedance understanding physics. — 00:08:15 · Seedance 2.0 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: The handheld showcase: wing-walker
- ★★ Adil says the VFX process is quick because the skill does the heavy lifting: the only thing you have to do is be clear about what you want. — 00:08:42 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: Collapsing jungle temple
- ★★ Adil says creatures are usually where AI falls apart, looking fake and rubbery, but in his handheld dinosaur shot from Seedance 2.0 the camera tracking stayed locked and the dinosaurs looked alive. — 00:09:08 · Seedance 2.0 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: Sauropods in the rain
- ★★ For the kraken shot Adil only filmed himself walking down a staircase; the ship, the storm and the chaos around him were composited into a single moving shot from the prompt the skill gave him. — 00:09:36
00:10:14 — What these shots would take in a real studio; next-video suggestion and sign-off
- ★★ Adil says shots like the kraken, the dinosaurs and the biplane are the most expensive, slowest studio work, needing creature artists, trackers and environment teams: a month of work and a massive budget. — 00:10:14 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: No studio required: the recap
- ★★ Adil made all four handheld showcase shots from clips filmed on a normal camera, in 4K, with no team or studio. — 00:10:36
- ★★ Adil asks viewers what he should transform next and says he will build the best suggestion in the next video. — 00:10:36 · also in: Add AI VFX to Real Footage: No studio required: the recap
